Design Your Own Monster
by Reece Carter
Description
Kids will be introduced to the world and monsters of Nightmare League, before then being asked to invent beasts of their own creation. They’ll design a ‘monster trading card’, inspired by The Fangenfur Game.
Focusing on descriptive language and the five senses, kids will be given a prompt and asked to write a short scene about what they would do if they woke up to find the monster they’d invented in their kitchen.
The workshop concludes by sharing those short stories with the group.
If time permits, Reece also has a code-breaking challenge for keen cryptographers!
