In this workshop, students will learn more about genre. They will come to understand what genre is and why it exists.

Together, we will break down classic genres and dismantle how they work. Using a genre writing exercise, we will investigate ideas around cross-genres and play with potential combinations of tropes.

At the end of the session students will have their own genre hybrid story.
