Zine Scene: Zine-making workshop

Zines are mini magazines. In this session Simmone explores the world of zine-making, including a potted history of DIY publishing and pamphleteering. In this very hands-on workshop, students will learn how to make a basic zine. Students can work individually or collaboratively and will end the session with their own zine to exchange or sell or give to their friends/family.

The Zine-making workshop is most fun when combined with Simmone’s Writer’s Notebook Session – an introduction to creative writing in the short form (short short fiction, haikus, rookus, zen koans, list poems) using unusual jumping off points.
