Corinne has a passion for picture books. In this presentation, Corinne talks about her career as an author, how she began, her research and how she finds non-fiction and creates fiction stories. 

By talking about her books and writing she gives students and teachers an insight into the life of a children’s book author and her love of reading and writing.

 

In 2026 Corinne will focus on the recent re-release of A Cat Called Trim – Voyages Around Australia and the World with Matthew Flinders. 

 

Matthew Flinders is on the Australian School Curriculum and the book is used within the Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) learning area, particularly for the history curriculum - ages 6-10+.

Items which Corinne requires: Mircrophone, data projector and laptop or interactive whiteboard, whiteboard, display table (for show and tell items). Corinne brings a USB stick to run a power-point presentation.
