Writing and Illustrating Picture Books

At first glance picture books look like a simple format but in truth they are just the opposite. In this session, Gus walks through the picture book process from the initial idea, sketchbook roughs, storyboarding, writing, editing through to publication. He uses examples from his own books and others to highlight each individual aspect of the process. This is a highly engaging and interactive session and Gus encourages students to get involved.
