Writing and Illustrating Children’s Fact Books

My sessions are around an hour in length and are a mix of me passionately presenting my fact books on screen as I slowly pull back the curtain on how I actually create the pages. I demonstrate to the young audience how I firstly discover, then secondly, begin to illustrate the facts. And just as importantly, how they can too.

For the second part of the session I turns the table on the audience and it’s their turn to illustrate their own mind blowing facts, inspired by what they have just seen and heard. All it takes is a couple of pieces of paper and some pencils. The results are always fabulous.
