Writing and Communicating for Social Change

by Courtney Collins

Description

When there is so much content flooding us, how do you make your words and communications matter?

Presented by Courtney Collins, this workshop and presentation supports individuals and organisations to ‘find their lane’ – to connect with their values and create a communications strategy reflective of those values.

Over decades, Courtney has worked with social entrepreneurs and change makers supporting them to articulate the change they want to see.

You will come out of this workshop feeling that words do have power and word by word you can move closer to the change you want to see.

The workshop draws on Courtney’s experience as a professional author, screenwriter, remote producer and podcast presenter – and her former role as the learning manager at the School for Social Entrepreneurs.

In this workshop you will:

  • Articulate your values
  • Connect with your values
  • Learn perspectives from Western and Indigenous Knowledge Systems
  • Learn creative writing craft tools better aligned with your values
  • Find meaningful ways to connect with diversity and inclusion strategies.
