Emma loves to have a stamp-stompingly good time with children in the Early Years and lower Primary School settings through her interactive Wonderful Shoes storytime.
This session also includes a guided craft activity for making ‘Story Spoon’ storytelling props.

- Sharing a love for quality picture books and early years reading from birth; emphasizing the fun to be had with picture books and the many places they can be accessed and read.
- Interactive storytime reading of Wonderful Shoes, using Emma’s basket of shoes which dovetail with the shoes in her story.
- Discussion of where authors get their story ideas from; story arc and story recount; text connections; visual storytelling; themes; special action words and adjectives used in the story.
- Crafting Story Spoons for Wonderful Shoes. And demonstrating how they can be used by the children for storytelling - enhancing both fine and gross motor skills; speech and expressive language; and social/emotional behaviour.
