– Discussion of picture books illustrated with watercolours – Introduction to watercolour materials: brushes, paints, palette, paper, tissues, 2 pots of water – Exercises on scrap paper – Everyone does a quick sketch of a model in pencil, then paints over the drawing with watercolor

Requirements
– a whiteboard, marker and duster – tables with waterproof surface or coved with newspaper – model Materials (To be discussed prior. I can bring many of these materials) – 2B pencils – watercolour brushes (I’ll bring: thick and thin) – Paints – Palettes – Watercolour paper (small pieces for short exercises, 1 larger piece 25cm x 18cm or page from water colour pad or whatever cuts economically from large sheets – Scrap paper to test colours – Tissues to dab up excess – 2 water pots (one to wash out the brush, one to mix new colour)
