Ten Little Figs - Counting Australian Animals

by Rhiân Williams

Description

Platypus, koalas and wombats are found nowhere else in the world. In fact, more than 80% of Australia’s plants, marsupials, mammals, monotremes, reptiles and frogs are unique to Australia.

This session introduces different Australian animals, some of their common behaviours, the role they play in the environment and how to spot signs of where they live.

It will also help students identify simple steps they can take to help protect our natural environment and the animals who depend on it.
