Sustainability and the Future
by Michael Pryor
Description
A four degree rise in global temperatures will make our planet almost unrecognisable. How would we cope in such a world?
This session will take a number of trends – resource usage, the biological revolution, economic uncertainties, and development of artificial intelligence (among others) and explore where we are headed.
Are we ready? What can we do to change the way we are going? What other possible futures are there for our species?
This session is often run for English classes, but has been a popular way for schools to address the Sustainability area of the Australian Curriculum across subjects.
