Surviving the blokey world of sport
by Angela Pippos
Description
I didn’t set out to be a sports journalist. It was the first twist of many in my career. Never be afraid to deviate from the path you’re on. Over the next 17 years I experienced joy, frustration, anger and loneliness – as a sports journalist and presenter in Melbourne. I also learned a lot about myself. These days I’m more open and honest about the perceived advances women have made in the testosterone-fuelled world of sport. We’ve got a way to go but I’m up for the fight.
