Storm (illustration)

Description

Look out – a storm is coming!

Storms are amazing. In this presentation, students will explore Storm written by Claire Saxby and illustrated by Jess Racklyeft. This story is based on a summer storm at the beach and looks closely at how a storm is created, and how that storm affects animals on, above, beside the beach as well as those on a shallow reef. Students will also discover how climate change is affecting the ferocity and predictability of storms.

In illustrating workshops, students will explore how light and movement can be explored on the page, and create their own lightning storm collage.
