This dynamic presentation covers the stories behind the stories, family inspiration, life as a journalist and author, and the creative writing process from ideas and research, drafting and editing, to book cover design and publication.  Belinda discusses writing some of her books including her latest fantasy timeslips set in an Italian Renaissance inspired world The Golden Tower and The Silver Sea; The Sun Sword trilogy; her award-winning Australian historical, time-slip series including The Ivory Rose, The Forgotten Pearl, The River Charm, The Ruby Talisman and The Lost Sapphire and her adult non-fiction biography, Searching for Charlotte, the story of one of Australia’s first female writers and artists, an early feminist and a pioneer in the fight for women’s legal rights.
