Illustrated books and comic books are multimodal texts. In this session, book illustrator and comic book maker Bernard Caleo will discuss the ways in which drawn images operate to create meaning in these multimodal texts. Each student will create their own multimodal text.

Computer + Data Projector, Whiteboard. Bernard will bring Powerpoint presentation on a usb. Students will need: 3 pieces of A4 paper and a HB (Grey lead) pencil.
