Description
A storytelling session using the Japanese 'kamishibai' (paper theatre) storytelling approach from the 1930s, a precursor to Japanese comics (manga) and animation (anime).
* The story of kamishibai (‘Paper theatre’)
* Traditional Japanese kamishibai stories plus new kamishibai stories set in Australia
* Session can be modified to include a workshop element, or a live-drawn performance of the Japanese folk tale ‘Momotaro’ (Peach Boy)
