Sally will take kids through the research she used to write her books in the popular four-part series, Our Australian Girl: Lina.


Set in 1956, students will learn how much the world has changed and what is still the same. How does a writer research facts and combine these with imagination to come up with a great story with characters readers can relate to?

Requirements

Students will need to be familiar with my books. If they would like to email questions ahead of time I can answer these during the session. Students will need to have writing materials in front of them to take notes or to begin writing their own stories. Follow-up activities can be provided for teachers and parents.
