A brief look into the journey of Brenton Mckenna’s life as a struggling reader in primary school in 1990’s Broome through to becoming a father, a bouncer and many other things to make ends meet while he tried to break through Australia’s literature scene with a graphic novel series everyone said would never be published. From publishing rejections to becoming Australia's first published Indigenous Graphic Novelist and Newspaper Cartoonist, Brenton will share the inspirations, motivations, lessons, falls and triumphs he collected over the last two decades that lead him to making Australian Comic Book history.
