Manga / Animé Hands and Feet
by Matthew Lin
Description
| A step-by-step drawing workshop. We’ll start some basic hands, chibi style for a warm up, a fist, resting hand from the front, holding an object. I’ll share some of my ways of approaching drawing hands and a few poses that everyone should have in their repertoire. The final quarter of the workshop will look at feet. Starting with chibi style feet, then taking that to regular manga/animé style. |
Topic
| * The step-by-step approach is to firstly give confidence to those that might be hesitant about drawing. * Step-by-step is to also break down the myth of I could never draw that. * Shapes as foundation. * Approaching the hand, and understanding the hand and it’s mechanics. * Emotional messages shown by hand position. * Understanding how feet work. * Drawing feet from different angles. * Manga / Animé references for hands and feet. * Shape language, ie square square fingers vs circular shape. * Chibi style vs regular style. |
