She talks about collaborating with friends, alphabets and ideas, the lists and the sketches. Antonia also talks about places we love, and how they are made up of the beautiful, the ugly, the iconic and the overlooked.
She’ll show how illustrations and text work together, and the space for imagination that is left between them, and will explore how picture books can have cross-generational appeal.
She’ll talk about how she worked with Hilary Bell to transform a much-loved book into a musical, coming to life on stage with a bus that transforms into a ferry.
