MAKE MINE A MONSTER!
by Brenton McKenna
Description
The secret to a good story is that it has to be a relatable story, to be a relatable story, we need relatable characters.
We start off with intros, acknowledgement to country and then some simple drawing warm up exercises before looking at the basics of character creation.
Then we push the extremes of what we learnt about how to draw humans to drawing monsters. Our ideal character will exist somewhere in between. Why monsters? Because they are impossible to get wrong!
As we create our characters students will learn there’s more to just drawing a character to bring it to life. We explore back stories and building profiles then test run the character in a mock story format.
