Literary heroines presentation

Stories and films often depict the hero’s journey, based on Joseph Campbell’s ‘The hero with a thousand faces’. New studies have focused on the heroine’s journey. Using my own path to publication, and the stories of Grace from Grace Notes and Freya from Sunshine on Vinegar Street, I illuminate the heroine’s journey. This workshop shows possible publishing careers, and encourages students to continue to read and write. It finishes with a definition of a modern literary heroine. This presentation works well for student and parent events, Book Week activities or for school literature festivals.
