Step into the shoes of Sumaya’s past child-self, experiencing a new world with a new language.
In this session, students will hear about the challenges of being the only one unable to speak the majority language and how a kind gesture changes the experience from a daunting one to an exciting one full of curiosity and wonder.
We will also have an interactive discussion time and activities where we simulate the feeling of what her child-self went through to raise awareness on the feelings of exclusion children from other backgrounds may often feel.
