Introduction to Poetry (primary presentation)
by Emilie Zoey Baker
Description
What is poetry and why on earth would you want to write it?
Students will be introduced to the world of poetry, what it can do and where it can take you. Through video, audio and live demonstrations students will learn that poetry is fun to make and perform. The presentation includes showing a performance by some very young poets, talking about different styles of poetry including rhyme rap and other examples along with playing some poetry games. Students will be excited by their creativity and won’t be able to resist writing a poem afterwards.
