Creative insight into the process of developing and illustrating picture books.

Students participate in a range of activities to learn art techniques, work to a publisher’s brief and create an illustration based on a group story concept.

Gabriel shares personal experience in working with publishers, creating a portfolio and the importance of using a sketchbook.

These sessions are accompanied by art demonstrations, visual examples and a Q&A.

Secondary students. Adapted to the appropriate age group

Requirements

Data Projector, whiteboard, display table (minimum 1m length), microphone for larger audiences. Presentation is on both a USB stick and PC laptop. No sound required. Students to arrive prepared with paper and pencils.
