Ghosts!
by Remy Lai
Description
Nothing gets me more excited to read a book than someone introducing the story to me in a fun, compelling way. And leaving me on a cliffhanger makes me even more curious.
Sometimes, kids might be daunted by books, or maybe they’ve just been distracted by other interests. Having someone introduce a book to them in a lively oral presentation is one way to get them to pick up said book.
And the kids will also get a sneak peak of all the endless decisions an illustrator makes when they’re drawing a graphic novel.
Topics Covered
* Introduction to graphic novel GHOST BOOK—the art of storytelling
* importance of facial expressions in graphic novels
* importance of body language in graphic novels
* draw-along
* drawing games (centred around facial expressions and body language)
* personal ghost story (more on the art of storytelling)
* Q & A
