A workshop for up to 20 students.
What is an author’s voice, and what does it mean to find your own authorial voice? This workshop goes through a series of exercises that aim to help students find and develop this ‘voice’, telling a story in a way that only they can.
Topics Covered
* What students think an author’s voice is
* Exercise exploring what students consider ‘good literature’
* Exercise finding the students’ natural voice about topics they’re passionate about
* Exercise comparing and analysing writing from previous exercises
* Further discussion on voice plus final exercise to bring it out
