Creative Writing Masterclass - Ten Steps to A Great Story

This dynamic and interactive session is an intensive creative writing masterclass for high school students. Belinda’s presentation covers 10 steps to writing a great story, covering inspiration from real life and family legends, life as an author and the creative writing process from inspiration, themes, voice and research to editing and polishing.  Belinda discusses writing books such as The Golden Tower and The Silver Sea set in an Italian Renaissance inspired world; award-winning Australian historical, time-slip series including The Ivory Rose, The Forgotten Pearl and The Lost Sapphire and her adult non-fiction biography, Searching for Charlotte, the story of one of Australia’s first female writers and artists, an early feminist and a pioneer in the fight for women’s legal rights. Engaging stories, photographs, lightning writing exercises and Q&A inspire students to take their writing to the next level.
