Collage Making

In this workshop, Antonia explores the collage techniques she uses in her illustrations, and the work of other creators working with collage (eg Henri Matisse, David Hockney and Eric Carle). She looks at analogue (cut and paste) techniques as well as digital and hybrid approaches to collage.

Then students work on their own collages – based on the ubiquitous Ibis – rummaging around in a garbage bin. Students will experiment with different materials, mixing drawing and collage together and see how Aldi catalogues can be a great collage resource!
