Beyond debate and beyond LGBTQIA+ basics - Professional Development

by Daniel Witthaus

Description

Are you sick of hearing ‘That’s So Gay’ and anti-trans and gender diverse comments and not knowing what to do?
Do you want a simple plan to challenge and engage homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in your classroom?
Could your school benefit from PD described as “the best I’ve had in years!”?

Session info:

In this session, Daniel Witthaus, will share two decades of professional development experience in how best to support LGBTIQA+ students and to challenge classroom homophobia, biphobia and transphobia.

The focus of these high-quality presentations is on how schools can become more inclusive and safer environments for all students, particularly young LGBTIQA+ people.

Daniel focuses on going beyond research and policy to uncover the most effective practical strategies and action plans. All work is in plain, accessible language.

Daniel will draw upon the formally-evaluated, award-winning educational package, Pride & Prejudice and his first book, Beyond ‘That’s So Gay’.
