Meet the Speaker
Where were you born?
I was born in Boronia which is somewhere in Victoria’s east. Honestly not sure where. Haven’t been back.
What other jobs have you had?
As far as the arts are concerned, I have had, um, all the jobs. I started as a set designer for the theatre, I’ve been a book illustrator, a writer and storyboard artist for animation, and of course a musical comedian. Renaissance man? Undiagnosed ADHD? Pundits differ.
What have been the highlights of your career?
I’m lucky to have had quite a number of highlights, some of which I can even list here. My first rehearsal of the original show Tripod wrote for the Melbourne Symphony. Gathering at Scott Brennan’s house for the airing of the first Ep of Skithouse. Getting rained on at the Grammys.
What are you passionate about?
I’m very interested in demystifying creativity for people. The process of making (books, songs, games, you name it) is an actual thing human people do! And you could do it too.
Haven’t I seen you before?
It's possible you saw me on Red Faces that one time.
