Robert Hillman & Najaf Mazari

The year 11s and 12s that attended the talk were very excited and I think they got a lot out of the talk. It was good for them to put a face to the words on the page of Najaf’s book and it was great to have Robert there to facilitate the talk. The students enjoyed Najaf’s ironic sense of humour and both speakers took time to sign books and meet the students afterwards, which was great.

Narelle Oliver

Narelle was so accommodating and inspirational to our students and teachers… For her to have come, and the fortnight to have gone so quickly and so successfully, has been extraordinary. It has been such an absolute privilege to have had her in our schools. To see every child engaged and inspired by her presentations and workshops has been amazing and the quality of work has been more than we could have hoped for. Our teachers too have gained so much from her presentations and workshops. Narelle’s background in teaching, her amazing artistic and writing talent and her generous nature have all contributed to a most spectacular two weeks of learning and creativity across the five schools of our learning community.

Thank you for working with us to have this visit come to fruition. My sincere thanks to you and to Narelle for making our writing initiative come to life.

Mark Wilson

*The children loved Mark Wilson. He kept their attention, answered their questions and they loved the drawing workshop. There was a good balance of talking and doing. *

Mark was certainly good value. He lived up to expectations and was aware that the children were very interested in his life and books. They had many questions about his books as we had discussed them beforehand. I liked that he was in touch with me before he came to ensure his talk was what we wanted. He also made good on his promise to send us a book and… he signed all our copies of his books before he left! Many thanks.
