Empowering girls, equality, the idea that perseverance pays off, and an encouragement to tread lightly on the earth.

What have been the highlights of your career?

I have won two CBCA Book of the Year awards, and am thrilled to have seen Dragonkeeper published in fourteen countries including: the United Kingdom, The United States of America, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Holland, Sweden, Japan, Israel, Indonesia, Portugual, Australia.

What are you passionate about?

Writing books that kids want to read. Averting catastrophic climate change.
