Life in the Middle East: the Story behind the story

In this talk, Prue shares the story behind her novels Camel Rider and Destination Abudai came to be written. Prue Mason lived in the Middle East for over twelve years and speaks some Arabic. She has also travelled extensively through the Gulf region that includes United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Yemen. She is passionate about an understanding between the east and west and has a lot of knowledge about the culture and has many stories about her life there. She also has photos and artefacts plus traditional clothes the students can dress up in to make it a more hands on experience.
