In 2010, I founded Kill Your Darlings cultural magazine with my friend, Hannah Kent, author of Burial Rites. We funded everything ourselves – and people told us we are mad! Print is dead, they said – but we persisted with our dream. Today, Kill Your Darlings continues to thrive, celebrating our 21st issue and publishing the best of Australia’s new and established writers.
