This is a session that focuses on the process of creating a book, from first draft and revisions through to design, illustration, galley proofs and printing.

First drafts and revisions What the editor does The stages of production, design, planning What the illustrator does – roughs and finals Proof reading, final stages, cover design Printing and binding In the bookstore – publicity etc **This session can also include basics on how to make your own book, and lead to a session on making books by hand and alternative formats. It’s designed to be very flexible, so the focus can be on commercial book production, or more on making handmade books.
