Sarah Hayden is a social worker, equine assisted psychotherapist and mother to five children. Sarah is neurodivergent herself and speaks with warmth, humour and just a little bit of sparkle.
Where were you born?
I was born in Melbourne.
What other jobs have you had?
I am the current Mayor of Golden Plains Shire (just out of Geelong) and am also a qualified social worker and equine assisted psychotherapist and published author.
What themes are recurring in your work?
I am a passionate social justice warrior who believes in equipping everyone to be their best most authentic self.
What have been the highlights of your career?
Having my first book published – a lifelong dream and hopefully the first of many!
Where have your works been published?
Murdoch books has published my book “Parenting Different ‘ and l have had a number of recent radio, tv and newspaper interviews as well as podcasts.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about so many things but mostly encouraging people to be the best version of themselves.

You may have seen me dipped in glitter while walking the red carpet with my daughter Chloe Hayden
Anything else you’d like to share with us?
I like to start the day with an iced almond latte and finish it off with a prosecco. There is nothing l love more than being at home with my family.
