When Santa Got Stuck in a Gum Tree
I was born in Sydney, Australia and grew up about half an hour north of the city.
I’ve previously worked as a Graphic designer and Lecturer. Both were rewarding however my passion has always been in illustration and that’s what I’ve been working on for a long time.
A lot of books I’ve worked on carry common themes including friendships and inclusion, resilience and imagination. I love adding a touch of humour to my illustrations when I can.
A highlight for me was being asked to illustrate ‘The Happiest Boy on Earth’. A picture book version of Eddie Jaku’s Memoir. Also having several shortlisted and notable books in the CBCA Book of the Year Awards.
Some of the books I’ve worked on have been published in the US, Italy, Germany and Spain to name a few.
It’s always a great feeling having works translated and distributed to a wider audience.
My passions are drawing and guitar.
