George Green

Author, Inspirational Speaker, Storyteller/Performer, Wellbeing

George Green is a motivational speaker and children’s author who shares his journey from working in the hip-hop industry with well-known artists to finding faith and spending over 12 years supporting young people and communities in the youth justice system across multiple countries. Through his personal journey and founding Little Global People, he empowers children of colour to feel proud of who they are and confident about what they can achieve.

I was born in the United States of America.

Other jobs I have had are working in community development & humanitarian work, youth & community work, publishing & education, creative & entertainment industry.

What themes are recurring in your work?

Themes that are recurring in my work is community service, youth empowerment, education through creativity, justice and advocacy, personal transformation, representation of children of colour and global perspective.

What have been the highlights of your career?

Highlights of my career are I was fortunate to have funded the building of 25 water wells in developing countries through proceeds from my children’s books. Worked with U.S. military personnel through the Upliftment of Morale Program, supporting soldiers by bringing them a sense of home and encouragement during deployment. Honoured with a recognition award for helping reduce gun violence in Canada and Trinidad through talks, mentorship, and community outreach.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about youth development, culturally relevant education, faith & purpose, justice & community support, cultural storytelling, representation and empowerment of children of colour.

Anything else you’d like to share with us?

I received an award for my contribution on stopping gun violence in Toronto, Canada in 2013 by The Canadian Dawah Association. I was named one of the 10 most influential African-American Muslim men in America in 2015 by Omera Productions. Through my children’s books and crowd funding campaigns I was able to build twelve water wells in many poor developing countries.  I managed a Grammy Award winning producer by the name of EchoSlim.  Was a member NGO New Future Foundation at the United Nations for five years in New York City in efforts to fight for human rights.
