What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about advocating for disability representation in the books we read, and on TV, radio and Film. I believe that we can change the world by showing that disability isn’t something that ought to be feared.

I enjoy working with large Australian music organisations and events to support them in being more accessible, inclusive and having more disability representation.

I am the co-writer of the children’s book ‘Come Over To My House’ which was the first of its kind world-wide that represented various families with disability. It’s been so incredible to see families speak about disability in their homes for the first time because of this book.

I created and wrote the children’s episode of TV ‘And Then Something Changed’ for the ABC about the social model of disability, and has two new children’s book coming out next year about disability, I am passionate about changing the narrative about disability, and showing children that we all have the power to change the world, instead of fixing the person with disability.

I’m the creator and editor of ‘We’ve Got This’ essays by disabled parents the podcast series and books, which have been published in Australia and Internationally. I am constantly on the speaking circuit speaking to organisations, hospitals, medical facilities and universities about how we can reduce stigma for parents with disabilities, this is something I am really passionate about.
