Back by popular demand, Shaken & Suspicious will be performing Alison Lester's ARE WE THERE YET for their August 2010 season. Shaken & Suspicious are usually fully booked for their season from as early as March – so call up to register your interest early!

Shaken & Suspcious are a performance duo who adapt popular picture books for entertaining and highly energetic theatrical performances. Setting up in your school hall or library, they will present sessions tailored for different primary stages — the same book is adapted in age-appropriate ways for pre-Primary, Prep–2, Grade 3–4 and Grade 5-6.

They perform for a season around Book Week each year, and are some of the most popular performers to work with Booked Out for over ten years. Their sessions actively engage students, often having students form part of the acting troupe for parts of the play.

The characters and story are brought to life in an interactive, imaginative performance that will engage and delight the entire school. Shaken & Suspicious always delivers high energy, captivating shows suitable for all primary and pre-primary age groups. Hilarious, touching and sometimes just plain mad, Shaken & Suspicious know exactly how to win an audience.

A great way for the whole school to celebrate Bookweek!

When not working as 'Shaken & Suspicious', its creators Sue Giles and Ian Pidd are involved with various community arts festivals, Polyglot Puppets, and more.

"The actors were organised and kept to times given. It was great how they engaged the student prior to the play and also at the end. The students from Year 3 to 6 particularly enjoyed the play and the interaction they had in being part of the play and also the humor and way the actors engaged with the students. They adapted their questions and explanation to suit levels. High energy!"
– Gwenda Burnett, St. Mary's Altona, 2009

"[This incursion] was more than well worth it. I would recommend them to any other school. Staff and students couldn't stop raving about the performance and how fantastic it was! The children thought that it was very funny. The staff felt that it was very entertaining and captured the children's attention and imagination."
– Cathy McConville, New Gisborne Primary, 2008
