Writing like a poet

Session Info:

Poetry has been described as ‘the right words in the right order’, and also, as William Carlos Williams put it, ‘No ideas but in things’. This is a writing workshop equally applicable for writing poetry or prose, designed to give writers of all ages an individual voice, by looking truthfully at the world and trusting their own experience

Topics:

various models of poetry and prose will be examined, followed by writing inspired by these models; emphasis will be on how detail can used to make writing come alive
