The Oldest Story in the World

Session Info:

The oldest story in the world is that of the antagonist and protagonist; that is the story of the hero who wants to gain or achieve something, and the villain that stands in his way.

If we look at gospel tales we have David and Goliath. In the 19th century it was Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty. All superheroes have an arch villain, just look at Superman and Lex Luthor. While in contemporary fiction it is Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort

In this workshop participants will go through the process of creating their own tale of heroism and villainy that could either be a tale of superhero proportions or a realistic tale of overcoming adversary.

Topics:

  • Create a plot and conflict.
  • Develop a well rounded protagonist and antagonist.
  • Develop a story structure that pits their hero and villain against each other.
