Myth-busting a career in science

You don’t have to be a genius or a ‘geek’ to study science. I’m living proof, a wanna-be marine biologist who was told she wasn’t smart enough to finish University? Well I showed them. Not only did I graduate as an Aquatic Scientist I’m now working with some of the most talented scientists on the planet and sharing their research far and wide.

Studying science can open up a whole world or exciting opportunities and my laboratory is different every day. It could be snorkeling amongst mangroves observing how the world’s most venomous jellyfish fishes for other fish, watching corals spawn on tropical reefs or working in youth in remote communities in Micronesia to set up marine protected areas.

You’re constantly learning something new, discovering the unknown and it can take you anywhere. Let me show you how…
