Session description:

This presentation is intended to be informative and also, hopefully, inspirational – the world of writers and published novels can seem mysterious and inaccessible to young writers, and books can seem boring to those more interested in the internet. I want to show students that writing can be enjoyable (and a possible career option), give them some insight into publishing and writing processes.

I also highlight that age doesn’t have to be a barrier no matter what you aspire to – motivation and following your dreams is key. I discuss my own path to publication and writing habits, as well as offering advice and talking about the publishing industry, blogging and genre. The presentation is designed to be informative and fun.
