Danielle Clode: General author talk

Session Info:

Danielle discusses how she came to be a writer and the inspiration that drives her books. She follows the journey of her books from her childhood living on a boat, through her early working life in museums and zoos.
For younger audiences, Danielle shares samples of writing she did as a child at school and discusses how a book is created, from proposal and research, through to editing and production. Danielle often combines these sessions with enjoyable and informative writing activities in creative non-fiction. For adult audiences, Danielle discusses how a sense of place and belonging permeates her work and how many of her books are driven by a need to engage with her environment and community.
