If Not Dieting, Then What? Protecting our children from eating disorders and promoting healthy eating

Session Info:

Aimed to support parents and/or teachers to navigate the difficult balance so we can help our children (and ourselves!) to be the healthiest we can be, and as a result of that, the healthiest weight we can be.

Dr Rick will discuss how weight loss dieting not only doesn’t work in the long term, but also has the potential to cause significant harm both emotionally and physically.

Dr Rick will then discuss key strategies to help families manage their relationship with food, eating behaviour, weight and body image in a most challenging environment. The language we use, mindful eating, and how we feel about our body image will all be covered.

His talks and workshops have been described as ‘wonderful, practical, humorous and compassionate’.
