The cyberbullying program for late primary years not only discusses the issues of cyberbullying and cybersafety. It also presents a range of in-touch, realistic strategies for students in dealing with cyberbullying. A key focus of the session is to build understanding of the real-world impacts of our online interactions and facilitate empathy for targets of cyberbullying through a range of safe drama and communication challenges.
This program typically runs over several weeks, addressing cyberbullying and digital citizenship with a real understanding of current social networking sites and online youth culture.
Topics:
Cyberbullying, especially through social networks and mobile phones.
Strategies for dealing with cyberbullying and promoting cybersafety.
The impact of online interactions within the real-world.
Digital citizenship and creating students’ own online culture.
