What other jobs have you had?

I’ve been a teacher and a tax consultant and a receptionist for an advertising agency and an Italian company (a quick way to learn another language). I’ve been a governess on a sheep station and a mum and a house keeper (although no amount of training has made me any good at it – being a good housekeeper, not being a mum. I rock as a mum).

Where have your works been published?

I’ve been published in Australia, USA, Canada and England. Several of my works have been translated in French, Spanish, German, Korean, Chinese and Japanese. With my new book about Europe I’m hoping to be published in Ukraine and Germany again.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about saving a lovely old planet. She’s beautiful and so, so forgiving. It breaks my heart when people spill oil, chop down trees and cover her ground with concrete car parks. And you know what, she doesn’t give up – but its time for us to help.
