– Seeing young people years after they heard me speak and hearing that it changed their world
Whether speaking in a school or hosting a sporting game, I love creating unforgettable moments and in the process aspiring to empower young people. I also love sport, the real reality TV! My little daughter rocks my world above everything else though.
I’ve hosted 100’s of sporting matches over the past 10 years so if you’ve been to an AFL, basketball, soccer, rugby, netball or ice hockey game or tuned into the NBL basketball on Channel 9 or Fox Sports, you may have heard my voice or seen my shiny head on the big screen.
Over the last 15 years I’ve spoken to youth audiences in every state and territory of Australia. Groups I’ve spoken to include Private Schools, Public Schools, Christian Schools of every denomination, Metro Schools, Regional Schools, Boarders, VCE Studnets, VCAL Students, Student Leadership Groups, High Achievers, Students with Special Needs, Students in the Juvenile Justice System, Disengaged students, Parent groups and Teachers. I’ve had vast experience with every age group from Primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary. I’m confident my experience enables me to cater a presentation to suit the specific needs of your group.
The students found you very entertaining, engaging and more importantly took a lot from your presentation yesterday.
These were all the lessons they got out of it yesterday and I could certainly see them approach the period we had following your presentation with a much more focused and positive attitude.
These were the things the students the students across the group got out of it which was exactly what we were aiming for.
– Planning a pathway and adopting a process
– Importance of showing confidence in what you do
– Taking sensible risks
– It is OK to make mistakes
– Being passionate about what you do
– Don’t be scared of failure – this can make us stronger and help us learn
– Having goals
The students were energized by Nathan’s presentation, he was engaging and spent a great length of time at the beginning of the presentation connecting with his audience.
He was innovative and fearless in what he wanted to achieve with 700 middle school students. I can’t speak highly enough of Nathan and his presentation. He is passionate about enabling and inspiring young people to be their best. Wonderful experience for all.
I gave Booked Out only days notice to help find me a guest speaker as I required a guest speaker for our Year 10 Health days ASAP! They found the perfect match with Nathan Strempel who was able to talk to the students about positive resilience and about the fear of failure. He gave students very simple, though, highly effective messages to give anything a go to avoid falling into the trap of ‘it’s all too hard’ and ‘thing like this don’t happen/work out for me’. The students were highly engaged as Nathan ensured he incorporated as much audience participation as possible.
Nathan was amazing, at the start of the session he went around the room and introduced himself to all of the school groups and found out what project ideas they were working on, which immediately built rapport with the students. He tailored his presentation to suit the things they were working on, and he was very engaging with all of them throughout the entire session. The students were so pumped for the entire session, Nathan created such a great vibe in the whole room. Thanks again for the great recommendation.
